Testimonials for Dr. Kirkham

“Dr. Kirkham provided excellent medical quality of care. He was very courteous and professional. The visit was a very in-depth exam in confirming the diagnosis and providing alternative medical treatment options. The medical staff at all levels did an outstanding job to ensure my care was top notch. I would recommend Dr. Kirkham without hesitation to provide medical care in the area of orthopedics. Alaska Fracture & Orthopedic Clinic and their providers share many years of medical expertise in all areas of orthopedics. Consider using this organization for your fracture and orthopedic needs! You will not regret their service.”

“Dr. Kirkham put me at ease and the hip injection was virtually painless!”

- Kenneth C.

“Dr. Kirkham was on time, friendly and informative during my recent appointment for a hip aspiration. I very much appreciated all of these qualities as I was nervous about the procedure. I had no after-effects, which must be due to his expertise with that needle! I am thankful for all of the AFOC staff who have helped me with two hip replacements.”

- Carol T.

“Dr. Kirkham seems interested in figuring out what’s going on in my shoulder. I appreciate that he wants to start from the beginning rather than assume that my previous doctor had it all figured out already.”

- Jeff W.

“Excellent experience. I really appreciate him listening to me and I trust his knowledge and his skill level. Great doctor!”

- Derick P.

“Fantastic doc! Great bedside manner and listens extremely well.”

- Linda K.

“I see Doctor Kirkham every six months for knee injection. He’s been nothing but helpful and explains everything that he’s doing. Pleasant doctor. I would recommend him to anyone asking. To see a great doctor, it would be him.”

- Patricia S.

“Went well and got good explanations on my issue.”

- Dwight W.

“The staff at AFOC was able to schedule me promptly upon my visit. I was in extreme pain, and their staff took great care of me from the initial appointment to the MRI, and procedure that followed. Dr. Kirkham reviewed my MRI results with me and thoroughly discussed all the options, but was prompt to accommodate my pain and take action the same day as my condition was worsening. Dr. Kirkham and the staff that assisted him throughout my experience were professional, kind and caring. I would recommend this facility to anyone needing treatment.”

- Andrea S.

“Dr. Kirkham listened to me and treated me as a real person with some problem instead of another person that might not have anything wrong. He’s an excellent doctor and listened intently, and his assistant was also accommodating. I would recommend AFOC and have.”

- Teresa S.

“Dr. Kirkham was very professional. He listened to me entirely and then asked questions for details I may have left out. I felt satisfied with how Dr. Kirkham treated me as a first-time patient.”

- Victoria B.

“Dr. Kirkham listened to my concerns and worked with me and my life to develop a plan that not only addressed my pain, but allowed me to adapt my movements to avoid future pain.”

- Angel A.

“I know it is trite to say he is awesome. If you do not like conservative treatment, do not go to him. But, I can tell you that I have been in so much pain and have not needed surgery or drugs to get better. I believe you want a conservative doctor who does not jump right to surgery. He is very knowledgeable and approachable. These issues are not a quick fix, and he commits to getting you back to a realistic level of life before pain and injury.”

- Taryn E.

“I felt like he knew what he was doing. Gave me what might be down the road.”

- Keith O.

“I was a bit nervous at first, but Dr. Kirkham gave me useful information regarding how effective the procedure can be. I had reduced pain within an hour and am grateful for that. The process was a success.”

- Ruth W.

“It was a very smooth appointment — very knowledgeable doctor.”

- Jess G.

“Great! I live remote, and Dr. Kirkham went out of his way to help me, so I didn’t have to fly back for another treatment. He was informative, understanding and very professional. I would recommend him to anyone!”

“The physicians, PA’s and staff have consistently provided an outstanding level of care. I have seen Dr. Spencer (cervical fusion), Dr. Kirkham (injections in my wrist for carpal tunnel), and Glen Welker, PA (injections in my knee). My family has also seen Dr. Lapkass for knee and hip surgery. We have never had a problem scheduling an appointment or seeing a provider. Staff is always professional and courteous. Providers take the time to discuss your situation to ensure that you, as a patient, understand your diagnosis and recommended a treatment plan.”

- Bearclaw S.

“Everyone was helpful and attentive. Dr. Kirkham was charming and took time to explain things to me.”

- Kristi F.

“I have experienced pain using my shoulders and sometimes consistent pain from work. I would never have realized my shoulders weren’t strong enough for how hard I was using them because I can lift a lot over my head. Dr. Kirkham’s expertise took away all concerns of tearing or damaging my shoulders, and I’m going to go to physical therapy to strengthen my shoulders to ease my continued presence in manual labor. The doctor that referred me said acute bilateral shoulder injury. The expert said let’s make your shoulders stronger to get rid of your pain 🙂 Spend extra money on doctors to get the correct diagnosis and treatment.”

- Samuel C.

“Awesome service. Got in quickly and everything went ultra smooth. Dr. Kirkham is the best.”

- Ward W.

“Dr. Kirkham is fantastic, and I appreciate him guiding me through every step trying to avoid surgery. He was up front and did tell me my injury would likely end up with disk replacement, but he was willing to support other measure to avoid it if possible.”
