Gene A. Falkowski Jr., D.O., fellowship-trained orthopedic spine surgeon, is joining Anchorage Fracture & Orthopedic Clinic. Beginning Tuesday, September 4, Dr. Falkowski will be available to see patients in the practice’s office at 3831 Piper St., Suite S-220, in Anchorage. As a fellowship-trained orthopedic spine surgeon, Dr. Falkowski specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of a broad variety of injuries and conditions affecting the spine and nerves. His expertise includes a number of advanced procedures and minimally invasive techniques, such as microscope-assisted and computer-navigated spine surgery, spinal fusion, discectomy and microdiscectomy, spinal decompression, deformity correction, kyphoplasty and spinal cord neurostimulator placement.

Dr. Falkowski received his medical degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Philadelphia. He also completed his orthopedic surgery residency in Pennsylvania through the UPMC PinnacleHealth Hospital System before pursuing further specialization through an orthopedic spine surgery fellowship at the University of Virginia School of Medicine in Charlottesville, Virginia.
Dr. Falkowski is an active member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the American Osteopathic Association, the American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedics and the North American Spine Society.
