“I had total right knee replacement on November 9, 2016. Dr. Ryan was excellent. Prior to the surgery, he explained everything to me and told me that this would be a difficult recovery from this surgery. I was well prepared for the difficulty of this recovery. It has been the most difficult recovery from all of the surgeries I have had. Dr. Ryan took special care to make sure my knee was free from infection before and after surgery. Now after three months, with most of the recovery behind me, I can finally say that the surgery was worth it. I followed Dr. Ryan's suggestions and also the recommendations of my physical therapist. My knee no longer has pain with every step I take. It will take another 9 months for my recovery to be complete. I am grateful for the expert care from Dr. Adrian Ryan and the rest of the staff at Anchorage Fracture and Orthopedic Clinic.”
“Was taken right in at my appointment time. Had x-ray and evaluation during the same visit. Was very pleased with all staff involved and received very timely responses to every aspect of the visit. Great job!”
“Every thing went well with my knee replacement and it is mending well. I just had to slow down enough not to over do it and let it heal on it's own speed.”
“Dr. Thomas has a great sense of humor and tremendous compassion for his patients. He was always honest and thoughtful in discussing my injury with me, and made me feel comfortable with some of the tough new realties that would follow. Injuries and accidents can be tough, and making a decision like amputation should never be considered lightly. Dr. Thomas knows this and was a perfect healthcare professional. His treatment style, professionalism, expertise, and humor make him a real asset for AFOC and for the Anchorage community.”
“I've actually seen both Dr Peterson and Dr Ryan. They are professional yet very compassionate. Dr Ryan replaced my right hip this past Dec. I'm extremely pleased! Dr Peterson will be performing bilateral laminectomy on me this Feb 27. I expect I will be extremely pleased with the results as well.”
“Fantastic doctor. Very well respected.”
"I have been seeing Dr. John Lapkass for approximately 6 years. I was recommended by a friend to see him for my shoulder pain. I have also seen him for hip pain and most recently underwent a partial knee replacement.
Dr. Lapkass has always been polite, professional, and takes the time to answer any questions you might have, and I like to ask them. I feel we have a good doctor/patient relationship and I have the utmost trust and confidence in him and his staff." - Vickie M.
"Dr. Prevost was the surgeon for my left reverse shoulder replacement and I haven't had any pain or problems! It was in October 2013 and I never had to take a single pain pill until two weeks after surgery. I, as well as Dr. Prevost, was so surprised to see that I could bring my arm past 90 degrees. It was so marvelous and this ole' arm is just cranking away better than ever. My right hip replacement was not the easiest, but everything turned out great. Dr. Prevost is awesome." - Charlee G.
"In February 2015, I had a ski accident at Alyeska helping with the UAA Ski Team. Dr. Mentzer was the doctor on site, in Girdwood, and followed me to Providence. He was one of the most concerned and helpful doctors/surgeons I have had the pleasure to know. I would like to thank him for what he did to help me through a broken hip and dislocated shoulder/torn labrum. He was able to get surgery scheduled for my hip the day after my accident with Dr. Prevost (who is also an amazing surgeon in my opinion.) And then Dr. Mentzer did my shoulder surgery about a month later. Can't say enough good things about Dr. Mentzer and Dr. Prevost. THANKS!" – Chris G.
"Outstanding pre-op, operations, and follow-up care by doctor, PAs, admin staff. All took all the time needed to communicate with me. Very friendly, professional with a human face, competent. Why would you ever go anywhere else? Wife agrees 100%." – Jim D.
